Mainly used as solvent, cleaning agent, extractant and synthetic material. Widely applied in medical disinfection, food brewing, coatings, inks and daily chemicals. It also acts as chemical intermediate and vehicle fuel, and is commonly used in agricultural processing and laboratory analysis.
